A state of Snowboard Emergency was declared a few weeks back… Adam stated that he was going to go on a Snowboarding trip with or without me… and I try not to turn down a vacation challenge. I was planning on a trip during the traditional spring break period in March, but I’ll have to be training (work) instead. To accommodate for said crisis... cheap airline tickets, transportation, and lodging were found for the destination of Jackson Hole, Wyoming/Grand Targhee Resort. For a direct flight (from Dallas), room, and the cost of getting around for 5 days, its under $500 (not including actual lift ticket and food)… You just can’t beat that for a ski/snowboard vacation. Adam’s recent boss will be accompanying us out of Denver. The trip is from Feb. 6th through the 10th, and I’ll be able to fly back into Dallas that Friday, just in time for work. Pure Genius, you can’t beat it!
(The Picture is taken from the last time a Targhee Level of Snowboard Emergency occurred (declared by The Dave)… back in early 2004…)

We look so cold there, lol.

This trip, we're popping plenty of L-Glutamine with lots of water or gatorade throughout the time on and off the slopes... believe me, it helps (with next-day soreness)!

Dude... I just realized I'll be flying in NEXT Sunday!! I'm psyched!
I think we should devote AT LEAST an hour before the slopes and again before bed. I want to prevent soreness as much as possible, lol.

Sources say this is the last season for the popular big red Gondola at Jackson Hole Resort... So bring you camera!

Thanks for the invitation! Winter has been good to the slopes so far this year; forecasts call for flurries all week.
However, there has also been a tendency for large snowfalls followed by warming; if the trend holds, you're headed for some rain and slush! (that's jealousy speaking.)

Fritz can be only one of two people... and if its the first person (who is the primary candidate primarily thanks to the weather forecast), I didn't directly invite because I felt it an ethical problem to distract your studies, which are definitely more important right now... and if its the second person, I haven't seen you since we at a hamburger in Denton to catch up on old times - and I don't know how to contact you, and its been at least 2.5 years... Sorry for no other invites to anyone else reading this post! Ughh...

no worries; just troubling you. was looking for a non-invasive way to join the conversation. l will send an email when not on my Palm Pilot...makes messaging rather tedious...best, s.

Just bought and also watched my first true, ONLY (skiers take a walk)snowboarding film/documentary/sports dvd. This bargain bin movie, TRANSCENDENCE - beats watching any Super Bowl! Hell, it might be the most wretched snowboarding video out, but I've never watched one befoe; a noob! Whew, it's now going to be a long four days before I hit the slopes; because damn, I've got the fever for powder again.
